Summer Activities at Green River College

Are you still thinking whether or not you want to take summer quarter at Green River College? Many students are going home, which is a shame since the summer in Washington state is absolutely gorgeous. The sun comes out and the rain stops so the conditions are great to go out and explore. Green River offers several trips this summer for you to go on.

Woodland Park Zoo
Date: Friday, July 3
Time: 9:30am-3:30pm
Cost: $20-student, $35-non-student
Description: Lions and tigers and bears –Oh my! Visit the Woodland Park Zoo, which features thousands of animals, including a huge variety of mammals, birds, and reptiles. Price includes transportation, admission, and boxed lunch.

Seattle Mariners vs. Los Angeles AngelsCapture
Date: Friday, July 10
Time: 5pm-11pm
Cost: $20-student, $30-non-student
Description: Cheer on Seattle’s professional baseball team as they take on the Los Angeles Angels in America’s favorite sport. Price includes transportation and game ticket. Bring money for souvenirs/snacks.

Mount Rainier—Grove of the Patriarchs and Paradise StationCapture2
Date: Friday, July 17
Time: 7:45am-7:30pm
Cost: $20-student, $30-non-student
Description: Visit one of the greatest landmarks of the Pacific Northwest. Trip includes a scenic walk through the Grove of the Patriarchs and a visit to Paradise for hiking. Price includes transportation and boxed lunch. Bring money for breakfast/pastries at a bakery.

Seattle Sounders Football Club vs. Colorado RapidsCapture3
Date: Saturday, July 18
Time: 5pm-10pm
Cost: $20-student, $30-non-student
Description: Professional soccer match between Seattle’s beloved soccer team, the Sounders (2014 U.S. Open Cup Champions) and the Colorado Rapids. Price includes transportation and game ticket. Bring money for souvenirs and/or snacks.
