On Sunday, 6th February 2011, a.k.a. SUPERBOWL SUNDAY, 106 million Americans gathered, ate, celebrated and had fun watching The Super Bowl XLV. The Super Bowl is the championship game of the National Football League (NFL), the highest level of professional American Football in the United States of America.
Almost everyone, football and non-football lovers, gather with their family and friends, borrow or even purchase a wide screen television (this is from my own experience, when my first American host-father borrowed a 70-inch wide screen television just for this grand event), and of course, eat yummy snacks and food on this day. It is said that the food consumption for Super Bowl is the second-largest in the U.S. after Thanksgiving Day… The Turkey still has the Golden Medal for this competition! :p Moreover, The Super Bowl is also the most-watched American television broadcast almost every year!
Another great weekend has passed… And now, we’re back to our normal lives, trying to stay put on a Monday morning with a cup of Coffee :)
“Super Bowl hangover” is a popular phrase for Americans on the day after Super Bowl Sunday since everybody are just so drowzy and overexhausted over the thrills and adrenaline rush of the Super Bowl XLV, and plus!! All the junk food that was drained into your body systems may be a factor of pulling down your body’s metabolism! Kids, don’t do this everyday!! It is bad for your health !! Overall, this is a fun event and celebration, once in a while =D
